Short version

Every tool on this site runs in your browser. The text you paste is not uploaded, because there is nowhere to upload it to: there is no backend, no database and no account system. The site itself sets no cookies. It is ad-supported, so the advertising vendors described under Advertising below may set their own cookies when an ad loads.

What happens to the text you paste

Nothing leaves your device. When you press the button, your browser reads the text in the box, walks it one character at a time, and writes the result into the second box. The file you pick is read with the browser’s own file reader and is never sent anywhere either.

That is also why the tools work with the network switched off once the page has loaded.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless. It counts page views and tells us which pages and which countries they came from. It does not set a cookie, does not follow you between sites, and does not build a profile. It uses no fingerprinting to identify you.

What our host records

The files are served by Cloudflare. As with any host, serving a page involves receiving the request, which means it sees an IP address and a user agent. That is standard request logging. We do not combine it with anything else, because there is nothing else to combine it with.

Cookies

This site sets none of its own. Nothing is stored in your browser by us to recognise you on a later visit, and the tools on this site do not need cookies to work.

Third-party cookies are a different matter. When this site shows advertising, the advertising vendor serving that ad may place a cookie or a similar identifier in your browser to cap how often you see an ad, to measure whether it was clicked, and to choose ads based on your interests. That happens inside the ad, not inside the tools.

You can clear or block third-party cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them does not stop any tool on this site from working.

Advertising

This site is ad-supported and may display advertisements served by third-party advertising networks. Those vendors may use cookies, web beacons or similar technologies to measure ad performance and to select ads. They act as independent controllers of whatever they collect; we do not receive it and we do not sell anyone’s data.

Advertising scripts are separate from the tools. They never see the text you paste into a tool, and the tools keep running entirely inside your browser whether or not an ad has loaded.

Advertising partners in use: none at the moment. This section is updated to name each network before or at the moment its ads go live, so what you read here matches what is actually on the page.

Children

Nothing here is aimed at children and nothing here asks for personal information of any kind.

If this changes

If the site ever starts collecting something it does not collect today, this page changes before that happens. The version you are reading is the current one.
